I also use a discone for my infrequent VHF & UHF use. My main antenna is a Carolina Windom OFC that gets out well on all HF bands 80m and above. I also enjoy collecting and repairing military radio equipment and presently own Tadarin PRC-174 & PRC-2200, Collins PRC-515, Racal VRM5080, SEL 52s & 52A, AN/URC-113 (Hughes RT-1209 HF SSB exciter with Collins 150W AM7148 PA / Antenna Coupler), Rohde & Schwarz XK-405 (GB-145 Control Unit, XK-425 400W HF TRX & FK-245 400W antenna coupler), MEL VRC-321, Magnavox PRC-113, Hughes PRC-104, Motorola LST-5E & Harris PRC-138, Racal BCC-39B, Collins 628T & AN/ARC-186. Hand held transceivers now limited to a couple of Boafeng UV-5R. No big company here, just one person, tinkering, designing & assembling radio related equipment for fellow enthiusiests to enjoy.
